Data Analytics for Digital Twin

Micro-credential

A digital twin is a virtual model of a physical object or system that spans its lifecycle and brings in learning and experiences from real world processes to update the digital twin model. Analysis of the data collected from the digital twin can support decision-making based on predictions of how the asset or system will perform in the future. This micro-credential will provide learners with knowledge and skills in relation to data artefacts and processes through the product lifecycle and digital twin evolution, and concepts for industry standard data architecture.

What you will learn

Upon completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:

  • understand relevant data for a digital twin
  • understand digital thread concepts to realise a digital twin
  • understand different data visualisation and analytics tools and techniques, and use them to gain insights from the data
  • apply data driven decision-making
  • understand the connected nature of data and information across the digital twin
  • understand the value of collaboration across functional teams working with a digital twin.
