Plans for the first building in the Bradfield City Centre reach some major milestones

The concept plan for the first building in the Bradfield City Centre has been unveiled with the Western Parkland City Authority lodging a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) with the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

The First Building will house shared-use advanced manufacturing facilities and equipment for research and industry collaboration. Completion is expected by the end of 2023, with the building featuring a visitor centre and viewing spaces.

The WPCA is excited to invite interested parties to apply to take their place among the first tenants in the Bradfield's City Centre's first building.

More information, including full details of the tender process, available space and commercial lease terms are available on the eTendering website. Applications are open until 21 January 2022.

Help bring the Agribusiness Integrated Logistics Hub (ILH) Airfreight Interface Concept to life

Australian products are highly valued throughout the Asia-Pacific region. With 24/7 operations at the new WSI Cargo Precinct more than 220,000 tonnes per annum of cargo-handling capacity will be unlocked, providing a catalyst for NSW producers and manufacturers to capture expanded global opportunities.

Interested parties are invited to share their ideas on how they can help to bring to life the ILH Airfreight Interface Concept.

A new way of thinking about learning

The Western Parkland City is a growing centre for innovation and advanced manufacturing which is why we’re developing a New Education and Training Model (NETM) in partnership with industry, universities, vocational education and training (VET) providers and government.

The NETM will deliver small-scale packages of learning, or micro-credentials, that allow people to build knowledge, skills and experience in a particular subject area aligned to employer needs.

We invite industry participation in the ongoing design, development and delivery of micro-credentials tailored to the needs of employers in the Western Parkland City.

Your opportunity to get involved

We are inviting registrations of interest from organisations within the property, development and investment sectors to participate in a market sounding process.

This follows the NSW Government commitment of over $1 billion to begin the enabling infrastructure to kick start the development of the Bradfield City Centre.

The NSW Government is now looking for industry partners with the objective to grow the Bradfield City Centre into a vibrant economic powerhouse, generating high-skilled, high-productivity jobs.
