NETM Sustainability Workshop


We are looking for industry representatives who are interested in running a sustainable business or building the future workforce for a sustainable Western Parkland City to take part in our interactive workshop.

The Western Parkland City Authority invites industry members to learn more about the New Education and Training Model’s (NETM) four-year pilot.

This is your opportunity to take part in the design and development of short courses tailored to the needs of industry that will be funded by the NETM and free for your staff to enrol in over the course of the pilot.

We are looking for industry representatives who are interested in running a sustainable business or building the future workforce for a sustainable Western Parkland City to take part in our interactive workshop.

Participants will:

  • help us identify skills and training needs in sustainability for priority industries of the Western Parkland City
  • contribute to a brainstorming session to develop ideas for future short courses.

The sustainability workshop will cover the following topics:

  • integrating circular economy principles into businesses
  • sustainable education including water and organic waste, and towards ending plastic waste
  • clean energy: renewables integration, energy efficiency, carbon neutrality and net zero emissions

Refreshments will be provided with an opportunity for networking.

This workshop is limited to 20 participants, and places will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so please register today.
