The Western Parkland City

The Western Parkland City is one of Australia's most exciting and fastest growing regions.

Where is the Western Parkland City?

Covering the eight local government areas of the Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith and Wollondilly, the Western Parkland City is home to some of the most diverse communities in NSW and is one of the most economically important regions in the country.

A world of opportunities

With new global opportunities emerging through the Western Sydney International Airport (due to begin operations in 2026), the Western Parkland City is shaping up to be the social, economic, and environmental powerhouse of Australia. The top five industry sectors include manufacturing, freight and logistics, health, tourism and agribusiness.

It is also an area filled with natural attractions like the World Heritage Blue Mountains and the Hawkesbury-Nepean and Georges Rivers. It is located on the First Nations Country of the Dharug/Darug, Dharawal/Tharawal, Gundungurra/Gundungara, and Darkinjung Peoples.

At the heart of its future is Australia's newest city - Bradfield City Centre. It will foster the innovation, industry, and technology needed to turbocharge the broader Western Sydney Aerotropolis and fast track economic success across the Western Parkland City.

At five times the size of Barangaroo, Bradfield City Centre is one of the country's most ambitious, innovative and exciting projects.
